The association of medical physicists of India (Northern Chapter, NC-AMPI) is engaged in raising the professional standards of practicing medical physicists located within its geographical jurisdiction for improvement in quality of patient care and radiological safety.

NC–AMPI provides platform to medical physicists for increased interactions among themselves and allied specialists such as radiation oncologists, radiobiologist, nuclear medicine physicians and radiologists. Special encouragement is given to younger medical physicists working in remote areas in terms of training opportunities at bigger centers and ready platform for exchange of ideas/queries.

NC-AMPI works in close co-ordination with the ASSOCIATION OF MEDICAL PHYSICISTS OF INDIA which is the parent national body.
